WHY MONTESSORI
Method
Dr. Maria Montessori developed the Montessori Method with the belief that each child is unique and should be treated as an individual. The Montessori approach allows the child to learn at their own pace, fostering independence and promoting self-confidence. We encourage empathy and instill a love of learning, giving the child freedom within limits and empowering them to become active learners and explorers. As Maria Montessori said, “Free the child’s potential and you will transform the child into the world.”
Mission
The mission of The Young Explorers Montessori Academy is to stimulate the children’s curiosity, engaging their hearts and minds so that they develop a true love of learning. The Montessori materials awaken a sense of wonder within the child and satisfy their thirst for knowledge. The words we strive to hear daily are: “Can you show me something new today?” We are here to guide the children on the path to becoming independent, confident learners, based on Dr. Maria Montessori’s philosophy of “Help me to help myself.”
